What is Operating Income (Inc. Other Ope. Inc/Exp)?

 Earnings from a company’s core-business operations excluding income from financing activities is known as Operating Income (Inc. Other Ope. Inc/Exp).  Operating Income is taken from the income statement of the financial report. In case there is no item in the financial tables for the selected quarter, Operating Income is calculated by subtracting Operating Expenses from the Gross Profit/Loss item.

Operating Income (Inc. Other Ope. Inc/Exp) (Quarterly)       

This item shows the Operating Income (Inc. Other Ope. Inc/Exp) value for the selected quarter.

Calculation:

Operating Income (Inc. Other Ope. Inc/Exp) (Quarterly) value is equivalent to the line item value from the income statement of the financial report, when available. When this value is not available, it is calculated by the taking the selected period’s value minus the previous quarter’s value.

Operating Income (Inc. Other Ope. Inc/Exp) (TTM)

This item shows the trailing Operating Income (Inc. Other Ope. Inc/Exp) value of the preceding four periods. It removes the seasonal sales effects and gives the opportunity to make efficient comparison analysis.

Calculation:                                     

Operating Income (Inc. Other Ope. Inc/Exp) (TTM) is calculated by summing the Operating Profit values of the selected quarter and the previous 3 quarters.
